Montgomery County MD Sheriff's Office Coin

The MCSO challenge coin is given to new Deputies by the Sheriff after they successfully complete the Feild Training & Evaluation Process (FTEP). This coin was given to me by Sheriff Maxwell Uy in 2025, after graduating the police academy and finishing FTEP. The front of the coin displays the current Montgomery County MD Sheriff's Office badge. The rear of the coin displays the old bage that was previously worn by MCSO Deputies years ago. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is the oldest law enforcement agency in Montgomery County. We have a long and storied history, steeped in tradition, with a commitment to integrity, leadership, and professionalism. The Sheriff’s Office is part of the Judicial Branch, primarily responsible for courthouse security, prisoner transportation, and the service of court-ordered papers.
