Elite aviation survival technicians, trained to perform high risk rescues in the water, on cliffs, or during floods. Operating from helicopters, they can combine, advanced, survival skills, emergency medicine, and physical stamina to save lives in extreme environments. Roles and duties include emergency rescue deployed from helicopters into high seas, high surf or remote land areas to reach survivors. Also to provide medical care in specialized operations, executing complex maneuvers, including vertical surface and cliff rescues, cave extractions, and floods.
